Start Assessing the Safety of Your Installation

We have developed interactive audits that guide users step by step through the assessment of their safety level and help identify potential hazards. Each audit takes the user through a series of questions and, based on the responses, highlights areas that may require further analysis.

Below you will find the currently available audits. Additional tools covering various aspects of process safety and compliance with ATEX requirements will be added over time.

ESH-01 – Preliminary Electrostatic Hazard Audit

ESH-01 is a proprietary preliminary audit of electrostatic hazards in industrial environments, developed by an expert to enable rapid identification of indications that a specialist electrostatic hazard assessment may be required. The audit is based on a structured interview, process observation and review of the available documentation, and can be carried out before a full technical audit begins.

The ESH-01 audit is recommended when you need a quick assessment of whether there are indications that a specialist electrostatic hazard assessment may be required. It is particularly useful before updating the Explosion Risk Assessment (ERA), following changes to the technological process, after commissioning a new installation, or whenever there is uncertainty as to whether electrostatic hazards have been properly identified and addressed in the organisation of work.

The audit covers a review of the available documentation, work organisation, interviews with employees and supervisory personnel, and observation of the process. Existing protective measures and the level of awareness of electrostatic hazards are also assessed. The objective is not to provide a detailed technical expert assessment, but to quickly identify areas requiring further analysis.

Upon completion of the audit, a report is generated containing a management summary, expert conclusion, system maturity assessment, identified strengths, non-conformities, gaps requiring verification, and a prioritised action plan. The report also indicates whether there are grounds for conducting a specialist electrostatic audit.

ESH-01 is a preliminary audit. It does not replace an Explosion Risk Assessment, a technical audit, or a specialist ignition risk assessment. The conclusions are based on information collected through interviews, process observations, and documentation made available during the audit, and are intended to provide a basis for determining further actions.

The ESH-01 audit has been developed for facilities where combustible materials, explosive atmospheres or processes capable of generating electrostatic charges are present. It can be used by occupational health and safety personnel, process safety specialists, ATEX-responsible personnel, production managers and anyone seeking to verify the effectiveness of electrostatic hazard management.

Not every organisation requires a detailed technical audit from the outset. In many cases, the first step should be to structure the available information, assess the current situation and identify areas requiring further analysis. The ESH-01 audit provides a rapid assessment of whether electrostatic hazards have been properly identified and whether the measures in place are appropriate for the actual operating conditions. This enables decisions on further actions to be based on facts rather than assumptions.
